Girl Scout Promise:
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law
Girl Scout Law:
I will do my best to be: honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, And to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
What you've done is kind of against the ideas of Girl Scouting. And by "kind of" I mean "completely." If you are having such a problem with the parents of other members of the Girl Scout troop, you should just transfer her to another troop.

Girl scouts is full of crap. I should know for I used to be one. Give the prize back get your kid to join a real group like 4-H or a church thing. That at least won't be a popularity contest that would make your kid feel bad. Some other news to show girl scouts is crap I watched on the news one little girl was kicked out just b/c she couldn't sell any cookies. It was on the Today show a few yrs back. So thats just my idea.

You tried to do the right thing in the wrong way. Putting in a fake order is dishonest, and you know it. Your daughter won on a technicality instead of through hard work and honesty. You did no hard work yourself, actually, so I'm not sure why you think you did.
Your wife is justifiably angry. You've taught your daughter it's OK to cheat and that the prize is the most important part of the process. The ends do not justify the means in this case. Instead of telling your wife "to sit back and be quiet," you should pay attention to her and realize what you did was dishonest and wrong.
Whoever sells the most cookies is, at the end of the day, trivial. Start teaching your daughter worthwhile lessons. In the meantime, I hope she takes after her mother, not you.

It's not supposed to be about you and the other parents, it's supposed to be about the girls learning about honest work. And frankly you've taught her exactly the opposite.
Your wife is completely right. She should take the prize back and tell the troop leader(s) so that the prize can go to an honest little girl.
You and the other parents really have some problems if you get so worked up about some friggin girl scout cookies. Why not grow up a little and focus on the important things, like spending quality time with your daughter and teaching her good values?

You write that you are not returning the prize after all that hard work. What hard work did you do? What hard work did your daughter do? You pulled a scam on girl scouts. Does your daughter know of your scam? This is not the best lesson to give her in hard work and morals. The message seems to be, "If you want to win, cheat."
I think you should teach your daughter honesty and a good work ethic. If she never were to honestly receive the top seller prize, who cares!

How can you allow you daughter to take a prize she didn't win??? You were proud to see her get a prize you cheated to get her???? What false pride!! I'm with you wife, teach your daughter the right way of doing things!!! That does not include cheating others that cheat!!! She should give the prize back!! She is supposed to be learning about honer in Girl Scouts, what you did for her is not honerable!! Sounds like YOU are the one that should sit back and BE QUIET!!

No.
Instead you should praise your wife for her home sty and be thankful that you are married to such a fine woman. You are simply wrong and it is better that your daughter learn what is right and wrong by your admitting that you made a mistake. Your daughter will benefit more that way.
Even if the other parents cheat so that their daughter can get top prize, you daughter will gain more by learning what is right and what is wrong. The world does not need to have more dishonest people and people that think only of themselves. The world needs more people to be like your wife. I think you need to respect your wife's wishes here and explain the truth to your daughter. You are just so wrong here. So wrong!

Let's see here. Just which one of life's lessons have you taught your daughter. Oh ya, cheating is OK unless you get caught. I guess the same could be said about driving while drunk, or murder, and anything else would be ok unless you got caught. Do as your wife says. Return the prize. Don't be such a dufus.

Buy the 1,500 boxes of cookies or return the prize. Your daughter will learn that if your going to cheat, you end up paying the consequences.
It's fraud.
