Yes, he did indeed break his leg. It was bad enough to require surgery in late December.
They haven't set a timetable, but they expect him to miss at least half the season. I mean, they signed Hillenbrand, so Juan may not be back any time soon.
I wouldn't bother with him on your roster. Even if he does come back, who is to say he'll be restored to full playing time. Kind of depends on how much they miss his defense...

Rivera broke his leg in Winter Ball. He'll be back probably early in the year. I'm sure you can pick him up from the waivers when he comes back. Unless the Angels have injuries, he'll have a tough time returning to the lineup (like usual)

well i can tell you that he is out til the all-star break, he did break his leg in winter ball, living in L.A. i get to read more about the Dodgers and Angels than any other team and word is he is out til the All-star break.
