People has different point of view regarding on what is really the meaning of life. The meaning of life to me is to serve God and follow His will. I have faith that solely base on the bible so as a basis I will quote some verses coming from the bible.
Long time ago a wise man said this “Ecclesiastes 1:2 -14 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.
I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.
And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. “
If we will read the entire book of Ecclesiastes we will see that Solomon searching for “what is the purpose” or ”the meaning of life”. He do everything what his heart desire/wants but in the end he got one conclusion for what is the meaning or purpose of life: And he wrote “Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
And I believe in what Solomon’s believe in.

It depends what stage of life you are at right now. The meaning of life for someone in love is the person they will dedicate their life to. The meaning of life for a little kid is just going to school and having fun and pleasing his parents. I once had a teacher, whom I admire and respect very much, who said (and even had a poster for this) that "Cheeseburgers are the meaning of life." There's a story to that, but I would not dare try to retell it because I would not do him any justice. Right now, the meaning of life for me is to prepare myself and equip myself through the years in my career so that I can have a good future. The meaning of life is to take advantage of all the resources that are available to me in order to use these to find a fulfilling job in which I can make a difference, but also a stable life that I will be able to dedicate to the person with whom I will grow old. Beyond that, in more general terms, the meaning of my life is to grow, learn, live every moment, fill myself up with life, and then let my feelings, values, beliefs, and inspirations transcend in time through my children and their children.

ahh the grand old question. Fortunately and Unfortunately it is different for everyone. Your meaning of life is shaped by your experiences, your feelings, what you have and have not learned and what you believe in.
When i sit down and think about life, i feel that it is too make this world a better place, to change the world for the better. But of course that is just me. But i also think that the meaning for each of us changes with time so we might never have the same meaning of life for too long

I think meaning can only be given to life once it is lived. While living you are defining the meaning of your life, and you can define this any way, and work at it through accomplishments. For example if you seek spiritual enlightenment and work a that through your life, you can define the meaning of your life as the search for enlightenment. It's mutable however while one is alive, and the meaning can change, or have more than one.
I can only tell you the purpose of life, which is to seek pleasure. We all seek pleasure, and a general positive feeling, and I cannot think of anyone that knowingly tries to achieve negativeness, because even those who do, strive to achieve wellness. The pleasure isn't always perceivable, but it is always there, and when it isn't we strive for it. Thus it is our purpose.

The meaning of life is to fulfill one's duties and be responsible. In the journey of life - from birth, to old age, to death - every person plays different roles. Life is to live, learn, teach, and believe. You believe what your life is. Maybe there isn't really a meaning set in stone. It's just what you make it to be. That and your beliefs on life after death.

I believe the meaning of life is to better understand ourselves and our enviroment. I'm not just talking about nature but the world around us and the world that is inside each of us. We are here to affect others whether that be in a positive or negative manner.
If I were a Christian I would consider this purgatory.

The meaning of life lies within each persons heart. There is no one meaning, one persons meaning in life could be to love unconditionally and anothers could be to help the hungry. each persons meaning is different from the nexts.

I think the meaning of life will have an ironic twist. I think the meaning of life can only be known where life as we know it is absent.

Every life has a different meaning. You have to use your circumstances and talents to figure out your purpose in life is.
Americas meaning to life is written in the constitution if you want to read that.
