I am so sick of my computer LoL* But who isn't?

I have win xp home. No security protection because everytime I try and put something on my computer to *protect* it I get the dreaded blue screen!

I have now downloaded ccleaner which seems to be the only thing that will work, but it doens't get rid of viruses etc.

I have tons of trojans, adware, spyware. As of yesterday I now have this blinking icon in my system tray which goes from a question mark to a red X and tells me system alert every 5 second. If I click on it, it takes me to spylocked.com. I can NOT get rid of it...and I really think that it is most of my problem.

AND NOW when I try and open my IE up. It doesn't allow me to go to a website. It just sits there and says searching....but if I click on the searbar it allows me to go.

Can ANYONE help me or give me some advice.

format your computer; start all over

Reformatting is an option for getting rid of Malware from you computer. The problem is you will lose all data unless you have it backed up.

Depending one the number of infections you may have no choice but to reformat. Remove an extremely large number of infections can damage the operating system which will require a reformat.

I recommend trying to remove what you have first.

Spylocked is malware known as a Browser/Homepage Hijacker installed by a Smitfraud Trojan. This requires a specialized program for removal. Both of these sites have free programs and procedures that will remove it. I recommend the first because it also has you use another Trojan removing program to get other Trojans and spyware off your computer.

Once you are done with the above, go to these sites and run their online scans to remove any viruses you may have:

Hopefully you are clean now. Go here and download Active Virus Shield. It uses the Kaspersky AV program you used in the above online scan. It is one of the very best AV programs.

Go here and download Windows Defender. This is a very good free AS program by Microsoft.

It sounds like the damage is already done to a point that it would be best to start fresh. Reinstall Windows XP from the CD and when it prompts you to reformat your hard drive, do it.

One installed, download Active Virus Shield, which is the free version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus. It's free, it updates frequently and has a much higher malware detection rate than products such as AVG and Avast.

Download and install Comodo Firewall Pro, which is also free.

Download all of your Microsoft update patches using the Windows Update feature.

Use common sense browsing the web and you should have no further problems.

SpyLocked is a Dangerous fake antispyware software and it is update version of SpyDawn. SpyLocked is a variant of Trojan.Zlob. SpyLocked display a fake warning message to purchase the paid version of SpyLocked.

SpyLocked also displays a fake warning alert with flashing icon on your system tray. A Pop up balloon warning messages claiming that your PC is infected. For example : "Critical System Error", "Your computer is infected", "System Alert", "Security Alert", Trojan-Spy.win32@mx", "Virus Alert", "Security Alert" or "Spyware.Cyberlog-X".

I got all these information from this site and you can also check it. There you can also get the complete manual and Automatic removal.

That yellow triangle message and red X are signs of the Trojan.Zlob virus (or one of its variants).

This one, and I am sure you have more than one, can be hard to clean - since half the places you need to go on the 'net to fix it will be blocked.

You can try an online scan if you can get to it with Panda: http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm

Also, you could try AVG from Grisoft: http://free.grisoft.com . The auto update feature for AVG might not work, but that's OK, since you download the free version with this link:

http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup/avg75free_446a965.exe

updates with this one:

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/24/lng/us/tpl/v5

(right-click and Save as... if you are blocked from getting to those sites)

Or use a USB drive and get it from the site from another computer. They also have a decent spyware program.

If you can get it, start in safe mode (F8 while booting the machine) and scan in Safe Mode.

My advice would be to take it to someone that can reasonable clean it for you. Also, once cleaned up, GET PROTECTED!!!!

If you are in the US and have Comcast, Verizon, RoadRunner, or any of the big service providers, you can get free AV software (Verizon DSL w/MSN gets you free Mcafee and SpySweeper, Comcast gets you free Mcafee).

Good luck! Hope this helps!

SpyLocked is one of the newest rogue anti-spyware programs. You said your computer is full of trojans, adware and spyware. You must use anti-spyware programs to get rid of those parasites and also update them, because parasites like SpyLocked renews as fast as they can. I advise you to visit http://www.spywareremove.com/removeSpyLocked.html for more information and SpyLocked's removal tools.

This is really bad in fact your infected ok if you have any important files their doomed. I recommend getting a mac cause your computer is toast. And don't try putting any files o CDs now because the threats will go with the CD put your windows CD back in and reboot. Unless you reach Avast.com and download the anti virus there or go to AVG and download the thing off there your pretty much doomed.

You have one of the latest variants of the Smitfraud infection.

How to remove SpyLocked (Removal Instructions):
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic85376.html

And after Spylocked is removed use both of these free on-line scans to clean up your other infections.

1. Scan for virus and remove (free online scan, no download) with BitDefender.
http://www.bitdefender.com/site/home/

2. Scan for trojans and spyware and remove (free online scan, no download) with Ewido.
http://www.ewido.net/en/

Good luck.

want a quickie or a nice-and -slow?

quickie, reformat it

nice-and-slow, download AVG Free edition (antivirus) then get Comodo Firewall (it's free too) after that. look for Ad-Aware (it's for spyware and other junk) after you have all of that just do the scans. i promise you you'll have a pc running better in about an hour or two.

i put in the links if you're interseted

the superb way is in simple terms too delete and installation domicile windows returned (that's sturdy for any virus :D ), and after that installation kavspersky anti virus , i think of that's the superb by way of fact it would not take too lots of your ingredients and it runs silent unlike different anti viruses that bypass ballistic while something occurs. yet u ought to attempt to do it precise now devoid of re-instaling domicile windows ... possibly it is going to artwork.
