If you are married to him, then sex is an OK gift, though he should have been getting it already. If you aren't married to him, you shouldn't be having sex at all, in spite of what society in general says about it. The laws of God haven't changed through thousands of years and if you are having sex without being married, you are guilty of fornication. You need to ask Jesus to forgive you before He returns to earth or you will spend eternity in Hell.
Why don't you just make him his favorite foods for a dinner together? You probably already have the food and wouldn't need to spend any money.
Make him a home made gift from the things you have around the house. It won't cost anything and he will probably appreciate a personal item rather than a store one.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Is sex the only thing you have to offer another human being? If you're broke why don't you bake him a cake or dinner. That could cost less than $15.00. Plus it shows an extra romantic side of you. If you don't have $15 just bake a cake, that could cost less than $5. Now if you're that broke I'm sorry then you're on your own.

Personally, I think it's a great gift. Depending on the knd of lover you have, it should acompany something like, a bubble bath, message, or sexy pajamas. All of that is free!
