download vlc software, that should play it

There's a special codec you can dowload for free that will let you see it, or just try and convert the file type. Divx video's good too. But if the codecs make yu lose the sound afterwards download an ac3 filter if you don't already have one

avi files are propritary software, owned by realmedia. Media player 11 (microsoft media player) plays wmv files. u need to download something like community codecs or divx.com and dl their codecs to allow it to play

U shud download the avi codec or u can use other player...there r many other softwares which support avi format....
or download the codec frm here
