like a full scientific community living off Earths natural power. ie : Steam,lava,tempreture difference,solar and wind,etc. plus theres always cost to consider??????

If you had the bucks maybe 2 - 3 years to carve out the place and then build prefab houses. Depends on what you will be putting in there.

honey, you are waaayy jobless.. but im guessing it'd depend on what kind of equipment these 'carvers' had.. if they had massive turbo charged drills - i'd say a week, no sweat ;)
