Harlene. It was Jean Harlow's real name. I kind of like it, although it seems a little old fashioned.

Well, actually I think 'Jean' is kind of a plain, unattractive name (no offense); I would have rather stayed Harlene.

Harlene? I wouldn't name anything Harlene unless I had a Harley motorcycle n wanted 2 say it was female lol. It's not only old-fashion but simply repulsive! Sorry :-(

Not crazy about either Harlene or Jean for that matter.

Who the hell is Jean Harlow? How about Phoenix-Jean Harlene?

I like it. I think traditional names are great. There are going to be millions of Emma's, Haley's, Kaitlyn's, Riley's, etc. But not many Harlene's! :o) Good pick.

well i'm not big on naming children names that they will have to explain later in life....Harlene is a pretty name, but will be confused with Darlene alot...just remember the kid has to live with whatever you decide for the rest of their lives, dont try to be to creative, it backfires on you in the long run....Also depending on the middle name, sometimes the child will change mid-life, and want to be called by theie middle name, so dont give them back - to - back strange names....lol

Ooo! That's a pretty one! I like old and unusual names. It'll make it easier for your baby to know who's calling them in a crowded room! My 1st name is Gretchen, but even tho' it's a German name, I couldn't find ONE thing in Germany w/ my name on it. According to my German friend, my name hasn't been used commonly in over 100 yrs, so that's why I couldn't find anything w/ it. Oh well!

It sounds like an old lady's name. In the same category as Gertrude or Ethel or Mildred. Will work fine once your kid is in her 40's, but I'm not sure about before that.

It's certainly no stranger than half of the names people are using today, and it's unique.
