It is okay to do, just hard to do with a push mower. The other issue is that you should have your mower blade sharpened every once in a while and more often if you mow wet grass. It causes the blade to rust.

Hi there, my mom gets her lawn cut by professionals all the time, but they probably won't do it if it is stormy outside. When I rented a house awhile back, I had to mow my own lawn, and I did it a few times right after it rained, and let me tell you, it was VERY hard to push that mower in the grass. If your lawn looks that way, i'm sure your neighbors do too. Just wait it out if you can for a dry spell. If not, then maybe start calling around to different cutting companies and see if they would be willing to do it for you, though they may charge an arm and a leg. Good luck.

It doesn't do anything negative to the grass, if thats what your asking. However, take extra safety precautions due to the wet grass. If using a push mower, you do not want to slip and end up under the thing. That'd be Real Bad!
The other factors are that the grass will stick to the underside of the mower, clogging it pretty quick. Also, wet grass does not cut even. This is do to the moist grass sliding off the cutting blade.
Hope this helps! Cheers!

Most people mow the grass when it's dry just because it's a lot less messy. Also, if you were going to sweep or rake loose grass into a pile or bag, you couldn't do it very well if it was wet. Other than that, it's all a matter of preference.

It makes it difficult to mow, but it won't hurt the lawn. If anything, they might refuse to cut it until it dries out some.

it wont cut evenly. the wet grass will stick to the blades and make a nasty mess... I would wait for one good day of dryness.

not necessarily bad, but messy. I'd let it dry out for one day.
