The fact of the universe starting in a Big Bang has been proven by many methods. One is the left over radiation from the Big Bang that is all around us. Another proof comes from observations of the galaxies around us that shows the the universe is smaller and smaller the farther back we observe. A third proof is that all the galaxy clusters are moving away from each other.
As far as we know we are the only living planet but we haven't gone personally to any other solar system bodies except the moon. So we don't yet know if other planets have life or not. And it will be a long time before we can go to other stars or observe life directly on their planets through telescopes.

i think its flawed only because i feel dumb that i cant under stand how they came to that conclusion.but I've had my own stoner theory and i did ask a physics professor this and he didn't say it was a dumb idea. if numbers go on indefinitely, like pi or just keep adding zeros etc, like the universe expanding.- and it works that way with negative numbers or decimal points like .333... or.78676846487648 etc.now they figure out all this with math right? what if the universe can cave in on it self and go either super small or into another dimension,like.0001... ? instead of the idea that all matter came from a speck and blew outward? and i believe there are other intelligent life forms out there, and have visited this planet,or its us from the future time traveling back to vacation and they are secretive about it because they don't wanna change history--maybe. ... one more theory, there's kinetic and potential energy and a couple others,it all ends up at some point as heat energy which is kinda like nothing, this might happen eventually to the universe over eons. what if this heat energy condenses some how and then that causes another big bang? hhmmm

The big bang, hmm is it possible? I think so, there are infinite things about this inverse we don't know. I try to keep an open mind to possibility and imagine tpossibilities unheard of simply because there is so muh we don't know.
As for life on other planets this is truly common sense. Anyone who can't accept life elsewhere in the universe is being stubbornly illogic. All this tremendous, endless, infinite space and we're the only ones here? Nooooooooooo the possibilty is farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to great that there is life out there, just as intelligent and possibly more advanced than we are, in more ways than one. It would be like an ant living on a plate sized island on earth and that's all the life there is.... It'ss illogical.

The Big BAng is only a theory which took the calculated mass of the Universe per Einstein 's manifold theory of space and time solution of the Field equation, which shrunk it to the size of a golf ball having a mass whose singularity enveloped a mass of 10^53 kilograms. The assumption working backwards is that that singularity called primodial mass was dispersed to form Galaxies and planets.
Not much is mentioned in the theory how The Creator of the Universe did it.Nevertheless it remains the latest scientific creation theory of the Universe. No mentions is Made about the Lord Jesus holding the Universe in his Hand.
The Best record of Creation of the Universe and all life therein is well out lined per Genesis in the Holy Bible which is the Word of our Creator.

It's pretty well established that there was a big bang, thanks to cosmic background radiation, redshifting of distant galaxies, and so forth. Yeah, I believe there was a big bang.
As for being the only living planet... well, the Earth is the only planet we know of that sustains life, but we haven't explored the universe all that much yet. I'd be very surprised if ours were the only planet in the universe with life on it. Indeed, I strongly believe that we'll find proof of extraterrestrial life within the next thirty years, possibly much sooner.

The Big Bang theory is the only existing theory that *best* matches up with what we've observed about the universe.
Is Earth the only planet with life? The mathematical probability against such a thing are -- excuse the pun -- astronomical.

The big bang and the idea that we are the only planet with life are completely separate ideas.
