I am over 16, and think they are great fun. I've seen them in concert a number of times and met Joel and he is super nice.
Some of their songs are generic I agree. But mostly, I think some of their songs are really great. Hold On was a brilliant song...generic in some respect, but meant a lot to a lot of people.
I like their new album which comes out tomorrow. I got an advanced copy and it is pretty cool.

Well then you must be under the age of 16 because they are a generic, boring, unoriginal band
There are far better bands out there

I was a big fan when they were younger and more...themselves. If you knew them before and during the release of their first album then you know the difference. I'm still a big fan, but they've definitely evolved since I first heard them...I love them none-the-less. I'm just trying to figure out if I like their new sound or not.
