*People*
You know what I mean!
The elite's true meaning is the best, no need for snobery. Upper crust, that means risen to the top. It is a play on words...
HOWEVER a more important matter! Jesus told that 1 man to give up everything because he knew those things he had aquired mattered more to him than Jesus himself.... Riches is no sin. This is often misenterpreted! God himself blessed King Solomon when he prayed and asked for wisedom, God said -I will give you wisedom and great riches! ALL good things come from God. God also says- I will not withhold one good thing from you! He wants us to be comfortable! Christianity does not =suffering!!!!!!!!!
People need to be inspired by the Holy Spirit and stop accepting dogma from a snipet and see the whole picture about God and the Holy Bible.
Peace be with you and good day...
:^) Thank you.

Judysn66,
I will quote a section of my post
"Simply close your eyes
and say "Jesus Christ
get me right with you, amen""
Just that first step twords the Lord is a life changer... I know for a fact that I am and have helped in pointing someone and some people in the right direction. I do not take the credit. It is all Glory to God. Jesus finished the work on the cross. I am just simply an admirer of his...
Don't worry you did not discourage your Sister in Christ. I live to educate you!

novangel,
Thank you for the personal email message. I have copied and posted it below in quotations.
"From: novangelis
Message: Oh, do shut up you pompous self-aggrandiser."

I am always shocked when someone calls me pompous! I do not speak of myself but only of God. God gets the glory! Only God knows my heart and certainly not you! *However,
if I come off conceited, you are confusing my sheer joy with conceit! This also happens sometimes but only with people who regard me highly or I have corrected or I seem intelligent to.
This makes them feel inferior so the get defensive and lash out and name call, like you did.
That is the TRUTH!
Only God is grand it is not about myself.
You twisted something pure and beautiful and made it a personal attack on me all while changing the subject.

Ask yourself, what did you accomplish by insulting me and drawing the attention away from salvation?
YOU ARE A DEVIL DOING THE DEVILS WORK
Poof~Begone in Jesus Christ's Holy name!

Jesus Made atonement for sins.
God made him our spiritual and immortal King.
There is one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus Christ.
There is salvation in no other.
Jesus Christ is the light, the truth and the way... JUST ASK HIM!!!
He is waiting.

tarakoot,
NO! I like to please God!
I do not suppose or make stuff up like you, thank God! I read his Holy Word and pray to obey it!!!!
Watch what you say you are accountable for every idle word, ya, the Bible says so...But obviously you didn't know! THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN A "CHRISTIAN" ATTACKING A CHRISTIAN! Sorry that I had to defend myself, there is a difference!

**CHRISTAB...,**
PLEASE, please, please!
Do get more than snipets from the Holy Text my good girl. The whole picture is shared and it takes on new meaning when you study it in the Holy Spirit. That is when you pray humbly and ask God to understand it. THE QUOTE IS:
The LOVE of money is the root of all evil! God himself blessed King Soloman with riches since he prayed for wisedom to take care of a responsibilty God had blessed the King with... Please get a better prospective.
Kindly, Golden

"Can you humble yourself and do that?" "...be the elite and upper crust of humanity?"

I can laugh at the total irony.

ADDENDUM:
I will quote you back:
"Ask yourself, what did you accomplish by insulting me and drawing the attention away from salvation?"

That was from a personal message. The fact that you posted it meant your sole purpose was to insult me publicly. You drew the attention away from your own message because you are indeed pompous and self-centered.

Two questions back atcha--

#1--Do you think that anyone "can do these things"?
I know I can't. I don't even think I can want to repent except that God's spirit works it in me, much less "be honest, keep the faith, and humble myself." Luckily, I don't have to resort to what I can do but can depend totally on what He has done and is doing.

#2 -- If you intended this as a tool for evangelism, do you think this is a very effective way to communicate the power and grace of the message of Jesus? What here will help people realize that God through Jesus brought us something we needed--even when we didn't know we needed it?

On being in the upper crust of humanity all you need is a big pile of money. And as far as getting religious over it, well i disagree. Now for some people they are dependant on things like the bible. If you are inherently good do you really need a bible give me a brake. I think the world as a whole would be better off without religion. Damn it whats so hard in excepting what nature has in store for us.

No, I have no ambition to be among the elite. The have more money Yes, and more problems than you could possibly imagine. Money is the root of all evil as they say and there are no surprises where money is concerned. Just work hard, be good and be grqteful for the life you have.

Some of my sexist conservative Christians say that a woman is not supposed to preach. Step down. They also say that the Bible says you are supposed to "serve men". I hate sexism.
And actually for the person responding about money. The verse says "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil."

I don't believe Jesus would force me to yell my sins out or to be doused in water. I believe that he loves me and accepts me purely because I exist in his image. Was he too not judge by the people of his time as a sinner? Did he repent and be baptized for acceptance to heaven? No he was accepted for suffering the trials of life. And so shall I. God loves you. Don't try to force others to love him.

Why must somebody "be baptized and saved in Jesus Christ" to be the upper crust and elite? Can't one be saved in Kant or Plato? Or Gandhi? Or one's parents?
