Yes of course! You would be having additonal 3 or more drives apart from the C drive. Just copy & paste them in those drives. Delete the files afterwards in the C drive. This will make your computer perform more faster, since C drive needs a minimum space to operate efficiently.

Dear stranger,
There are many ways to retrieve your space on your full C drive, here is my humble experience:
1) Easiest, most economical way: first, review & delete or remove all the "junk" files based on your judgement. 2nd, if you had CD or DVD burner, buy some blank CD-R ( 700mb capa.) or DVD-R ( 4700mb capa.) & use the burn program that comes with your burner or computer to copy - burn all data that you don't need to keep in your C drive into these blank CD or DVD disc. You can retrieve these data later as back up data. Don't forget to delete the data on C drive after burn or back up them onto disc.
2) Other convenient way, but will cost you little more by buying a external Hard Drives e.g.. a 1000G hard drive now cost under $100, & you can buy some of them & put them together on to an Enclosure or use it alone to hook up to your computer via an USB or firewire port.
Good luck
Lee

my suggestion would be to get another hard drive one that is as large as you can afford put it in your pc as a d: drive or if you are using a cd or dvd drive xp will name it the next letter in line.you can manipulate the drive letters of cd's and dvd's. if purchasing another hard drive is not an option and you have a cd burner you can put files on cd and store them that away. go to remove programs get rid of all the tool bars that everyone has downloaded all the messenger services all the photoshop demos etc that you have no need for it will amaze you how much crap you have downloaded without really knowing you downloaded it. when you forget to check the little box that says download google toolbar or msn toolbar etc. and before you know it you got 4 toolbars you never use.

You can delete programs you no longer use. You can move documents type stuff onto flash drive, cd, or internet storage data basis.
You should run both disk clean up and disk defrag, both can be found in system tools of your start menu in accessores, (just don't run them at the same time or while you are using the computer)

You can get a bigger hard drive and do a mirror image transfer. Then you can partition it to have just your start up items on the C drive and your other stored items on another drive. I have mine partitioned most of my other items are on an E drive. You can also go through and do a scan disk and compress old items not being used.

Yes you can, the programs that you have installed you have to be careful about. If you have a bunch of mp3's what I would do is just get an external usb hard drive and move all of them over to it. That should free up a ton of space.

Hi quietman,
You you can move stuff but you have to be careful. You can move some things but programs for instance have to be uninstalled and then reinstalled so your computer knows where they are. If you just drag them or copy to a new location you will have problems when you delete the originals.

If u have a c.d. writter than u can shift ur some stuff in c.d.s.
Otherwise u will have to delete some unwanted stuff from ur drive.
Or buy a new harddrive with higher memory.
