I know, Broken Sword is a fantastic game but unfortunately trying to play it on a modern PC with XP is extremely difficult.

Unfortunately this game will not recognise a hard drive with more than 6gb free space, so you have a couple of options:

1. Partition your hard drive so that you have a d drive with 5gb space and install it on there.

2. Find a very large file and copy it many times in a folder on your computer until you have less than 6gbs free space.

Then after you have done this you have the joy of getting it to work with XP:

You will need to go to the cd files and cahnge the compatibility mode on the setup.exe file. Then when you have installed it you need to also change the compatibility mode on the game files.

After I did all of this I managed to get it to work(albeit with slightly dodgy coloured graphics) until the second act, and then it freezes and I am still trying to work out how to fix that.

Good luck!

Hmm... I think it might be too old of a disc, some of the discs will only play on windows 95/98/2000... so if you have an xp or vista that's probably why! I really don't know what else could be the problem unless the disc has an error. Try it on someone elses first

umm
try editing a config file, i did that to the direct ex thing on most wanted.
and also try right click on the install exe or something similar, properties, compatibility tab and choose windows 98( or others)

and try to find a patch for win XP
