Please help me....my Ipod nano second generation?

I just put my ipod on the charger about 1am this morining. I haven't charged it for a week. When I put it on the charger, the light started to flicker, and the apple sign came on. Now, it's 12 noon....and the apple sign is still on, and I can't do anything else. Can anyone help me?

the ipod could of frose! try pressing the middle one and menu at the same time and hold them!

might likely be a hardware problem ,. they mite have posts like this one at afterdawn.com
