Call some. They don't know who you are on the phone. Tell them you have some failed random testing over 2 years ago and ask if that would exclude you from working for them.

Those kinds of companies are getting harder to find. Usually, if an applicant has something on their record past 4-6 years, they might be willing to hire him on; but if it's fairly recent, they're understandably reluctant. Still, if you can find a smaller company that is reasonably cool about it, you might be able to hire on with them; provided, of course, you can avoid failing another random. Good luck.
