It's driving me crazy. I can't believe nobody has picked up on it. I keep seeing crazy Nelly fans insisting that she wrote it just because Wikipedia says she put on her hoodie and it just came out. But I know for sure that the melody of the chorus is from an older song (80s, yes, you will have to be over 28 to answer this question). I just can't believe that she and Timbalog are trying to pass this as theirs. HELP before my head explodes.

Though some have borrowed hooks and later confirmed it, these days unless you want a huge lawsuit, people get permission if they borrow lyrics and hooks. I think it may sound familiar because its a generic beat that alot of people use and just change it up. I do not believe they would outright steal it and not say something

Maybe you should just calm down a bit, its a great song and these days not very many beats and songs are original. Just listen or dont listen. Even songs of "your" time were sampled from songs before your time and you thought it was a great song, so let kids of today enjoy their music without the hastle of analysing it so much.
