yes, I have read some of your answers, and agree with you sometimes. I do not agree 100% everytime, but you give me food for thought. I see valid points in both rep & dem answers.
Sometimes I have read things on here then researches it, and changed my mind. I learn a lot from all sides. Good question I am giving you a star! But, I hate when I ask a question, and people are cruel it makes me angry.

Opinions are just that...opinions...they cannot be right or wrong. Facts, however, are facts...and cannot be disputed.
I try, diligently, when in discussion with opposing views to listen carefully and consider the opinions of others. Otherwise, how will we ever learn new things? But in the end, if we cannot agree, I am happy to agree to disagree. I am not determined to change the views of others, nor will theirs necessarily change mine. But open dialogue is still the best form of learning...and I value an open exchange...

That's the trick, isn't it? To understand the other side, even if you don't agree. We should all try.
Perfect example: many liberals want to protect the "little guy" from "big business," and many conservatives want to protect the "small businessman" from "big government." Both sides have the same motivation, but they see the justice of the situation differently.
I think someone with a background in psychology - something I don't have - would have an easier time understanding politics.

If it is presented in a sane, ceherent, intelligent and logica fashion without the childish namecalling, sure, I accept that others think differently than I do and believe differently than I do.
But if they claim something that isn't true, or if they fail to provide evidence or legitimate sourcing for claims, then they do indeed deserve some tweaking.
Unsupported claims, insulting attacks and outright looniness merit no consideration.

If it's a matter of preference, choice, or opinion....sure, as long as they in turn respect mine. If it's a matter of science or fact....not a chance. I can not accept someone spouting junk science or manipulated stats as a valid argument just because they "feel" I should.

Yes unless I determine they're an ideologue. That's someone who takes the party line on every issue. Left or right, they aren't worth the time and are usually boring and not very bright.

Yes, another's point of view may be just as valid as mine.
But mine is just as valid as his or hers.
It's not that Hillary Clinton HAS another point of view, it's that she wants to IMPOSE it on the rest of us. If she wants to take the proceeds from her book deal and cattle futures trading and use THAT to pay other people's medical bills, I have no problem with that at all. My problem is that she wants to make ME pay other people's medical bills.

Freedom of speech is all I ask. I really doubt I would consider your point of view valid, but I would defend your right to voice it. Asking more is trying to take away my freedom of speech.
Garth, your wife says get a hair-cut. I promise, she told me. LOL

I have been conditioned just so. I've been married for 23 years. I am now an expert in the art of compromise. Whatever my bride wants, I compromise and give it to her.
