Ok, I make the same mistakes almost ALL of the time. It seems like I never learn from them. How can I improve this? It really bothers me.

Be calm and think before you act. When you think, try to put others 1st and not to go down the same path as before.

Is there a particular mistake you're thinking of? I've found that one of two things usually happens. Either I slowly learn over time to correct my behavior, or something big happens and makes an impact on me which stops it altogether. An example was that I used to exagerrate a lot while talking to people, and someone called me on it in front of a group. The situation was so embarrassing that the change was automatic and I rarely do it anymore.

If it's something you can physically control, do what it takes. If it's a mental thing, either start focusing on the mistake before it happens (if it's situation-related, make a game plan for the next time you're in that situation) or maybe talk to a professional about other techniques you can use.

Best of luck to you.

you just said it. you don't learn from your mistakes. make an effort to change your behavior if it isn't working. sometimes we react in certain ways because it is our defense mechanism, if it's harming you more than helping. try to calm down and think before you do anything.
