Keeping your Venetian blinds clean can seem to be a difficult task but it doesn't have to be. The procedure outlined below will make this a much easier task. Doing it yourself will not only save you money, but time as well because you will have your blinds back up on the windows in no time at all.

How often to clean your blinds depends on numerous factors such as where you live, the amount of traffic through your home, the type of ventilation system in your home, among other things. The dustier your home is the more often you will have to take your blinds down for cleaning.

You will need to lightly dust off the blinds at least every other day to keep them clean and avoid taking them down for a more thorough cleaning. Try and keep them from getting rained on as moisture on the blinds will cause the dust to adhere to them.

There is a brush you can find for dusting blinds, and other things that are similar in texture. Make sure to spray it with Endust first, so you won't knock that dust back into the air.

The only way to do that without making a bigger mess with the dust is to take them down and spray them with the water hose outside. It sucks too.

simple. do a one over with a soft towel or duster. once you have the window and the blinds clean run a drier sheet over the blinds. this will help keep them clean and help eliminate the static electricity in your home.
