It's not a question of finding the best state, but rather which company will SPONSOR you to give you work visa to be able to work in the United States. You need to find an employer who can either give you a temporary working visa such as H1B or sponsor you through the longer employment immigration visa process (which leads to green card or permanent residency).

Ask yourself what qualifications do you have that Americans do not have that the employer actually have to hire a foreigner to do the job. Then stress these qualities in your resume -- it can be your work experience, education, etc.

Also remember, it is harder for a foreigner to get a job in their country of origin as opposed to a foreigner already in the US. Employers would much rather not spend towards interviewing the person living outside the US and may be willing and open to sponsor you if you are already in the US, however in what capacity (student visa, tourist visa -- as long as visa is not expired)

California - by far.

I CANNOT believe that first answer. As a Native American, I welcome you to my country if you are an immigrant... or illegal alien for that matter. Sheesh

This will come off like bigotry but it sounds like you are not an American, stay where you are~don't come to America we have enough illegal aliens as it is.
