I am now asking to collect a lot of money. I just feel that I need to know what I can sue a Dr. for when they could have or should have done better.

Maplractice (professional negligence), lack of informed consent and battery (for surgery on wrong limb) are three that I can think of

You can only sue a doctor successfully if you can prove that s/he was negligent or did a harmful action deliberately. The fact that they may have made a misdiagnosis does not prove negligence. The fact that they COULD have done something doesn't necessarily prove negligence either. Diagnosis is just as much of a science as it is an artform.

If you are unhappy with your doctor's care, you fire him and go to another doctor.

You and More Importantly A Lawyer
Must Prove
that there was negligence and incompetence with the medical clinic/staff/personel

or you could also prove:

that the clinic/hospitals equipement was ancient history or malfunctionning at the time of the procedure/surgery

if you cna prove that :

A) the doctors screwed up
B) they did soemthing they shouldnt have/or should of differently
C) The Equipement Used Proved To Be Malfunctionning
D) The Doctors staff was uncertified (rare cases)

then your in business to get your well deserved MOULLA! $$
