when you go to the theater, and get buttered popcorn, it tastes good, but when you fix it like that at home, its soggy and not so good?

Well, what they use isn't really butter. But I have good results using an air popper and real butter melted in the microwave. Don't use margarine. It separates into oil and water, and the water gets the popcorn soggy.

They air pop it and we pop it with butter in the bag??? soggy kinda? They use real butter? They don't put it on til last.

It's not butter at the theatre. It's hot canola oil.

Probably because we cook it in the microwave and that makes anything taste nasty.

..i hear ya!!...same thing happens to me?..i dont know why...the popcorn gets all mushy..
