They said they would call regardless but I think that meant for an interview and wheather I got one or not. I feel like calling them to just see how things are going. Good idea?

Absolutely. I don't think that it would hurt to show you're interested in a job. If you are, say so. You know, two equal candidates might apply for the same job. The one who shows more interest in THAT company and does a callback may get the job. This was the advice given to me by job counselors at DeVry. I'm working now, so I guess it works.

I would definitely call. I got my last job 8 years ago because I took the initiative to call them. My current boss said he liked that I was interested in the job and followed up with a phone call. He said that he knew I was really interested and that I had initiative and he liked my positive attitude. Although 8 years later sometimes my initiative drives him crazy.

I would be polite. I would say you just didn't want to have missed a phone call and that you were still really interested in the job.

I'd wait at least until Thursday. That's a solid week. You'll sound like you care, but you won't sound desperate or needy. If you call too soon, they might not even have gotten to it. That said, you are wise to follow up on it. Good luck!

Yup. The worst they could do is not hire you. All joking aside, your future employer appreciates you taking the initiative. Personally, I don't usually hire someone unless they are chasing me for the position. Call them and call back on a certain pattern, like Monday, Wed. and Friday all at 2:00pm for example.

They got it Thursday. Friday, Monday,-- I'd wait until Tues afternoon. Tell them you were outand may have missed their call.

It's a balancing act, too soon, givethem a chance to look at it, too late, they forgot aboutyou. yoo
