Lots of acoustic, some alt rock/90s grunge, soul, and a little jazz/blues (such as new Norah Jones stuff).

Blues. Period.

It's where alot of American music comes from. Jazz, Rock, R&B.

It's got heart, soul, passion, heaven, hell, love, hate, money, poverty, etc. You can make just about anything into a blues song.

It's brevity and power lies in its simplicity of structure as well as in the voice of the singer/player.

no question my favorite type of music is 80's glam how can you not love it duting the guitar solo when the guitarist is shredding the bassist is working double time to provide a beat the drummer is hiting the same symbol and then the snare over and over and the singer just shuts up and lets the main atraction (the guitarist) do his thing oh it is prefect
