Barry Nelson, but hardly any knows that it was almost Rod Taylor. He went on to make "The Time Machine". I think he would have been a good James Bond.

It's actually Barry Nelson in (I believe) 1958 as "Jimmy Bond" for Television, in a version of "Casino Royale"
