keep in mind: waxing hurts.
you won't have less problems with ingrown hairs, but since you only do it every month or so (depending on how fast the hair returns), it may help.
If you can take the pain and the fact that your hair will need to be a little grown for the waxing to work, go for it.

First off, don't shave everyday...it could by why you have a problem with ingrown hairs. Second: waxing, if kept up on a regular basis, will eventually lead to very fine hair and then as you get older you might not have any hair at all. I say go for the waxing on any part of your body. If you chose to do it on you back too, then you absolutely have to keep it up. I do it on my legs, bikini line and at times my arm pits(you get use to that kind of pain) Some places cost more than others. If i find that I don't have the budget for at the time, I do it myself. Pretty easy but also fun to do with a few friends. Good stay-in girls night!!
Hope I helped!!

p.s.: NEVER ever put regular body lotion after waxing(professional or not). THAT will give you ingrown hairs!!

Yes, waxing is a more efficient, longer lasting way to remove hair. Your skin will appreciate not being accosted quite so frequently. As for the arms, I dunno. Waxed hair doesnt grow in spiky like shaved hair, but still, do you really want forearm stubble?
Waxing hurts the first time or two... once you get a month or two under your belt, its totally fine. I actually almost find it relaxing at this point...
Also cost is a consideration. I spend about $25/mth just to keep up my bikini line alone. Its like another bill!

it hurts like a DOG the first time you get your legs waxed, but you're legs will be a lot smoother a lot longer, and the next time you wax, it's not quite as bad ... If you tend to get ingrown hairs, waxing may be a solution for you

It really HURTS (my Mom made me do it to my eyebrows once, never again ...)
If you have a big prob with ingrown hairs and don't mind going through the pain and have some red and swelling from it... then yes go ahead and wax.
Wax or plucking or chemical removal or laser removal of hair are all good at preventing ingrown hairs from happening and also starts to make your hair thinner too over time.
;-)
Good luck.

Maybe you should look into electrolysis. If you wax, you have to let it get long first, and that really sucks. Or try Nair or Veet, but that can sort of feel weird.
