I've heard who he shot at but does anyone know why?

YES! he did shoot his TV after his wife left him for another man.
an actor with the same name came on the TV
and he took a pot shot at it.
I think that it was a chap that starred in "streets of San Fransisco"

Elvis was known to shot his TV if there was something that he didn't like. The one particular story that made this fact so popular was that he was watching Robert Goulet on TV and he didn't like what he saw so he shot out the TV. That's not to say that Elvis didn't like that person, he just didn't like what he saw at the time. Sadly, this was happening at the time he was taking all those drugs and I think that played a HUGE factor for him actually shooting at the TV's. Under normal circumstances, Elvis is not the kind of person that would do that.

Because he was the KING OF ROCK N ROLL and he could do whatever he wanted to do, and there was a guy on tv that he was angry at he would shoot the tv, I think it was Robert Goulate?

elvis would shoot his telly because he would get bored of the stuff on it, he had a tv room and just bought more when he needed them, famous people sometimes have these wierd things. He also ate meatloaf most nights as he loved it and believed women weren't sexy once they had kids(which kind explains why he divorced priscilla.)

Don't know, but I shot mine whenever I saw Nsync, Britney, Paris or the Backstreet Jerks.

I reckon it was cos NTL cut him off cos he was a minute late paying his bill. Either that or his tv got stuck on the Neighbours omnibus!! hee hee

he was probably watching some awful "drama" on the bbc...
you know the kind, the kind taht have p.c issues, "black" families like the ones on eastenders, a few disabled people..even though most people have never met any...
the bbc....p.c gone mad

He was testing his gun.
Maybe someone on TV he didnt like came on,maybe someone who criticized his music.
Maybe his remote was busted.
