If Seattle doesnt build a new venue for them this is a real possibility. They were recently bought by the Oklahoma city group.

I live in Seattle so I would not like they idea of not going to NBA games anymore if they move but for the Sonics if Oklahoma wants to put up the money and take care of the Sonics, then I hope they go. All teams in the NBA, good or bad, should get treated better than the Soncis have been treated in Seattle. THe Sonics are one of two teams that have brought championships back to Seattle, the other being the WNBA tean the storm. The city gave both the Mariners and the Sehawks new venues, but they will not help to keep the sonics in Seattle. At some point all teams should be in a place where they are want. Oklahoma has been a great home for the Hornets over the past coulpe years and I believe that they really want a team will feel honored to have a team of there owns. So the Soncis should go where they will be appreciated and havfe fans that will actually back them up. I will hate to see them go, but I wish the best to Ray Ray, Sweet Lew, and the entire Sonics team.

I think Oklahoma City having a team is inevitable. That it is the Supersonics is surprising, because Seattle is a good sports town. Then again, it cost a lot of Money to build Safeco Field and the new Seahawks stadium, so there may not be any public interest in investing money on the Sonics, who are clearly the third team in town.

1. Oklahoma can't have two teams......I really don't think it's fair LA has 2 teams.

2. Oklahoma Supersonics.......no.

3. When the Hornets leave Oklahoma City next year.....David Stern will feel bad for OK City and offer them to create a team there. (Like Las Vegas)

It nonetheless seems incorrect. i'm so used to them being in Seattle. and that i really wish they change the call. I propose c'mon, Oklahoma city Supersonics? It would not in fantastic condition, like the Utah Jazz call.

Um.........I don't think so. Seattle Supersonics sound better than Oklahoma Supersonics.

They'd have to change the name. Around here, a Supersonic is a double cheeseburger.

it would be better if the supersonics did not move because of their history in seattle. although, if they did move i would understand. i do not think that they would keep the name supersonic if they moved.

transistion in sports is inevitable... teams are into making money it is not a "not for profit organization"....will a franchise make it in las vegas and will the gaming authority let it pass is a real question.
