My step daughter is getting married in Fall 2008. She was thinking of having Candy Apples as her wedding favors until a couple of people at her work said they didn't think it was a good idea. Personally, I think the idea is fun, unique, season appropriate and reflective of their personalities. However, the bottom line is they want something which will be well received by the guests. What do you all think. Yes or no on the candy apple idea?

I think it's nice and original.
When i was about to get married (before it was called off) I planned for a bouqet of chocolate covered strawberries as centerpieces for the tables.
go for the candy apple idea.. who knows maybe i'll use it too!

I think if the candy apples are what they want to do they should do it.
We had those stupid plastic champagne bottles that were really bubbles we handed out. People get sick of silly stuff like that. A candy apple's good no matter what time it is.

Its fun and unique but quite casual for a wedding and everyone doesn't eat candy apples either.

Yes. Cute idea. And you can wrap them up nicely for people to take home. Only thing is, it might be a little on the pricey side. Still, I like it.

Very good idea! Very unique and cute! No more of those dumb candles, candle holders, champagne bottles, seashells w/ candies inside...ugh! I'm sick of it. Stick w/ that, its cool and fun! People will be talking about it.....But will they eat them? Or save it as a memoir? Hmmmmm...somethin' to think about....

its really up to the bride, if she likes it and it reflects the couple then fine. i don't like it tho. candy apples aren't very good after the first couple of bites. honestly most of them will be thrown away. kind of a waste of money

i think its a cute idea. I've never seen that before. Its different from the norm...chocolates, little ornaments, etc. I say go for it. its her wedding
