Howcome when i speak into my microphone, people can hear what i do?

I have a headset and recently its been echoing. Whenever I play music for example and speak on my microphone, people can hear the music even though i have headphones on. What can i do?

go to start programs acessories entertainment volume control and mute the microphone!
