Has your lifestyle changed overthe last 3 generations?what were your changes?were they individual changes or due to societal changes.
Just a few questions I was wondering about in others lifes.

2 generations ago my family moved out of poverty country & came to america - so I guess that would be an increased social level. Individually, the only thing that seems to cause a big drop is getting pregnant without a 2nd income. That seems to cause a big drop.

I am what they call a downwardly mobile professional. While I have 10 years of university education that neither of my parents had, my father's income/salary was much higher, with only a high school education, than I can ever aspire to.
Globalization, the export of technical jobs to other countries, and the growing trend of employers to only employ part-time employees are contributing factors.
