I have the film 'Loose Change' on my laptop, but i want to delete it. When i right click, you dont get the usual options...just play, open with and send to. (No rename, delete, cut, copy etc) I have tried Mcafee shredder and quick clean but it says the filename is invalid. The file name is pretty long.

Right-click on "My Computer" and select EXPLORE. Navigate to where you have the film saved.

Highlight it and press the DELETE (DEL) key on your keyboard.

If it says it's in use, be sure that all media playing devices are closed. Also CTRL-ALT-DELETE and look at the 'Processes' tab and kill (End Process) those with your user name next to it that may be associated with media players.

you could try the free unlocker program available from http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

you say the filename is pretty long but not how long? a long time ago, I had some problems with filenames over 256 chars long on dodgy downloads - have you tried left clicking on the filename twice (with a pause between clicks) to edit it to something shorter?

Process is using it behing the scene. Not recommending that you mess with that unless you know what you are doing. Trying restarting computer. More than likely it will not start process that was using the file.

Not sure if this is too simple but have you tried the delete key?
If not, how about trying it in safe mode, or in DOS?
