I just made some homeade lip gloss with an old color of lipstick I can no longer find. I used vaseline, lipstick, and put in a little bit of jello for flavor as suggested, but it is soo gritty, with this change after it becomes solid again, or is there anything else I can do?

I don't think so - the grit is probably from metallic oxides in the lipstick which clumped together after being reheated.

Boil it down. Then let it cool in the refridge. This allows the jello particles to melt. I made some too and this worked =D

Throw it out, BEFORE it becomes a haven for bacteria and you get an infection.

Whoever gave you that recipe was a moron with no grasp of how to actually make makeup.
