Well, you could try a different prenatal vitamin. Another one might work better for you. Also, most doctors will tell you that a good multi-vitamin, like the Flinstones ones are just as good for you, so maybe you could try those?
I wouldn't be too concerned as long as you're eating well and taking care of yourself. Remember, women did this for thousands of years without prenatal vitamins.
Good luck!

Try other types of prenatal pills. Some prescription prenatals are just too much; try some over-the-counter ones that you can buy in a pharmacy, or buy regular vitamins like Centrum AZ, something that you can handle. If nothing works, talk to your doctor and see if there's really any reason you still need to take them.
Vitamins are only a precaution in case YOU don't eat correctly anyway; as long as you eat absolutely optimally and ingest all the vitamins you and baby need, every day, you shouldn't worry. See a nutritionist that has experience with pregnant women to make sure your diet is correct.

I am so sorry - I was the same way until I was 5 months pregnant, some days I would force myself to take it. Nausea and all. Even the children's vitamins made me so sick. I found a brand by Rainbow One Called Prenatal Light or maybe it's Rainbow Light Prenatal One, anyways it has certain enzymes (ginger, etc) that are supposed to help you digest it. It worked the best, but I was nauseas until 5 months. Talk to your doctor. Even just taking one folic acid or one calcium made me puke. There is also an iron supplement (liquid, available at health food stores) called Floradix that is awesome. It never made me nausous but it's expensive ($20 for 3-4 weeks.)

I had a similar problem. My prenatal gave me diarrhea and vomiting and they were prescription ones so I switched to some generic ones from Walgreen's, but I still had diarrhea. Finally, I tried the generic ones at Meijer and I did better. Sometimes you need to shop around. Prenatals are important you need the folic acid, calcium and iron especially. You can also tell your Doctor about this she may prescribe you a pill that helps combat morning sickness. Just please try to find something that works, not all pills are the same.

I would talk to your doctor, first of all, about your concerns about the baby having a murmer. They heard one in my daughter when she was born, but she has been fine ever since.
I would also talk to the doc about different types of vitamins, and things you can do to make it less harsh. Otherwise, I would just make sure you eat a VERY well rounded diet and eat foods rich in folic acid and calcium.
I dont recommend it, but I stopped taking mine, and my daughter was fine. I would ask, though, to see if there are any alternatives. Good luck, and best wishes for a happy healthy pregnancy!

The pills are only neccessary to supplement a diet that needs more vitamins a minerals.
You should try first getting some chewables or even gummy vitamines like for kids, and then also creating meals that have a very balanced diet that will get you more vitamins.
Also try stuff like vitamin water and fortified cereals!!

I just throw the vitamins back up too - pretty useless.
I just drink carnation instant breakfasts (which do stay down nicely) and they are loaded with vitamins, the iron, calcium and even some folic acid.
See what you can do to find more foods and drinks that are fortified with the vitamins you're not getting from the pre-natal. I think there's even bread out these days with folic acid in it.

I never took pre-natal vitamins. They are prescribed only because the doctor assumes that most people just don't eat right...and it's true. If you eat right, you dont need them, if you dont, any over the counter vitamin is fine.
