Yes, it's gay, yes you're homophobic, and straight men don't even worry about these sorts of things unless they're suppressing homo erotic desires.
So yes, the fact that this worries you means you're gay, which we all know is the real question you need answered.

You're most likely homophobic to some degree. Most American males are before they consciously remove this programming. It is commonly a reaction to the over-suppression of normal homosexual urges.
As in most cases where disgust is directed outwards in order to avoid directing it inwards, many other shirtless "guy on guy" activities might not seem 'gay' at all to you.
How about water polo? It is shirtless, it involves contact between men, and it even involves contact between WET MEN. Gay? In locker rooms, men undress and shower together. Gay? How about olympic wrestling? Gay? How about professional wrestling? Gay?
Since you have never been given a culturally approved outlet for large segments of your sexuality, it is normal to feel somewhat repulsed by things that suggest homosexuality.
But here is what it comes down to: If those men engage in homosexual practices, then their dancing together is gay. If those men are straight, then their dancing together is NOT gay. If one of the men dancing is gay, and one is straight, the gay one's dancing is 'gay', and the straight one's dancing is not. See?

Only if you have sex with them. Miami has a few big gay themed parties every year. Maybe you wondered into Twist by mistake. Let's just say you don't see straight men taking off their shirts and dancing very often, even doing drugs.

You're just homophobic!
In cultures other than our mostly northern European background, men usually dance together and it's not only accepted, but preferred.
Latin cultures celebrate the "Machismo" of men.
In predominantly Islamic cultures, all dancing is frowned upon, but men and women are separated in prayer.
Even in Judaism, men and women are separated in the Synagogue.
In Asiatic cultures men and women celebrate some events separated.

If they have a romp in the bed later, well then that's definitely gay! But two shirtless men just dancing together... naah!

Ok, so maybe they were just all hot and sweaty and wanted to take their shirt off..doesn't make them gay anymore than them dancing with their shirts on.

To quote "it's not gay, it's European." It's funny because, in some circumstances, it's apt.

I don't know if it is gay or straight - but it is tacky!
I hate it when people take their shirts off in public (non-sporting events).
