Third person is like you're looking onto what's happening. You are not involved in the story but are rather telling a story about other people.

Use he/she/it/they.
The first person uses "I" and "we", while the second person uses "you". Avoid both of those when writing in third person---it confuses the reader.

Some people refer to themselves in the thrid person.
"Carl does not like that." It is easy.
He/she did this and that. Stick to that and it's in the 3rd person.
