Cedar Point Amusement Park (roller coaster heaven!)
3 or 4 indoor/outdoor water parks.
Animal Safari (not sure how good it is)
Golf
Lake Erie beaches

Have fun.

Well, there's a couple indoor water parks now. Cedar Point opens in a couple months, so there's that. They took out the go-carts/mini golf place, so you can't do that anymore. There's an awful lot of new stores along 250 including everything from the old mall to the newer Harley Davidson store. There's a movie theater at the mall... and I think a second one somewhere else in that area, but I haven't seen a movie in Sandusky lately. I'm sure there's a bowling alley somewhere. I highly recommend Tofts ice cream... There's about the same things to do in Sandusky that you'd be able to do in any other midsize city. There's just about every restaurant you could want along rt 250. You could also go walk around by the lake. There's actually a lot to do there.

oh... reading another person's answer I remembered there is the animal safari... It's gotten a little expensive now, but I went a few years ago and it was a blast! It wasn't the prettiest of places, but you can get food to feed the animals, so they walk right up to your car and stick their heads in your windows. I was in the backseat alone and I scooted over to prevent the animal from stealing all my food and suddenly the tub of food was stolen from the other side! Another animal had come to the other side of the car and grabbed the plastic tub and I tried to pull it back, but just ended up dumping a lot of the food pellets all over the place and the animal still stole the tub and the food that remained inside! It was absolutely hysterical! I'm glad the other user mentioned that or I would have completely forgotten about it. After Cedar Point, it was by far the best experience I've ever had in Sandusky!

Actually, there is a lot to do in Sandusky-if you are in amusement parks. There is Cedar Point & an indoor/out door water park (I don't recall the name). Sandusky is a relatively small town so there is not much else to do. If you want to go clubbin' you are about an hour away from Cleveland to the east & Toledo to the west. I hope this was helpful.

In winter or summer?
In summer tons of touristy stuff....cedar point, indoor water parks, shopping, some funky cheese haven in marblehead.. while your there take the ferry to Put in Bay its a major party island. Kellys island is running a close second. Kellys also has a national park. Putt putt golf and go karts...stuff like that think total tourist spot. Seriously. There are beaches too the lake is kinda nasty to me but folks enjoy it. You can rent boats and jet skis.

In winter....not a damn thing trust me I lived there!

I agree with the others. Cedar Pointe (duh), Put-in-bay is a lot of fun, and don't stay anywhere other than the Kalahari resort! All the other hotels are subpar.

If you go in May/June, realize that the Mayflies are something you just have to deal with. You won't ever experience anything like it....trust me.

In the winter there is nothing to do except drive to Cleveland (45 min East)!

Cedar Point and drink, only in Spring, summer and fall. The city closes during winter

Check out the grotto at Castaway Bay. My sister and I visited last year and it was absolutely perfect. Really nice place and all ages friendly.
