Alcohol is not food and if you can afford to go to the bar and buy alcohol you don't need to be on food stamps in the first place.

Because alchohol is considered a luxury consumer item, and is not recognised as a neccessity by the government funded food stamp program.

you know you can't purchase alcohol and tobacco on food stamps but fast food restaurants and all other eating establishments should accept them.
