If you are a USA citizen, you don't need a passport., this year. Maybe next year requirements will change. You do need your birth certificate and a photo ID would be good too.
go to their website for additional info

I was going to go on a cruise with them. i bought "insurance" for the trip. its so you can get ur money back if u need to cancel the trip for a major reason. i was dead set on going then something bad happened between me and the person who were going to go. he also did not recieve his passport in time even though we got that "expidited" or how ever u spell it. anyway after all that.. i still havnt got any money back still waiting on the cruise line. i only got the money i paid in taxs back. which was around $300 the whole trip cost me about 3,000. they offered me 75% cruise credit for my trip even though it was not my fault the passport did not come in time (we pad extra to get it to come in 2 weeks) and we did that a month and a 1/2 before we were scheduled to go on the curise. we had to fight our ***'s off just to get a 75% refund to our credit card which i think is crazy. we bought the insurance which was $100 per person just so if something like this happened we would be covered and needless to say i still havnt recieved any refund back yet. and its been over a month........ as for ur other questions u cant take any liquor on the ship. although ive heard of someone that did that and got away with it but i dont think it was on this cruise line. they give u all the food u need but u have to pay for all ur drinks. i dont know what else u would want to bring on the ship so.... paper documents. u need a passport unless ur staying inside the country and even then u maybe will still need one, because the new law change. make sure u get your passport before u pay for the trip. thats my advice, u never know what will happen with that my boyfriend still hasnt got his. they sent a crazy letter asking for all these documents from him like highschool transcripts, every address hes lived at sence birth, his whole familys names birth dates and places of birth and about 6 other documents that i can not even remember off the top of my head. anyway we just had a really bad expierence... go to royal caribbean's web site they have a FAQ section that answers alot of good questions there

You'll need your passports. Contact your travel agent for a complete listing of what you'll need. If you booked thru Royal Caribbean directly, check their website. It will give you FAQ's, and lists of what you should take.

Have fun!
