Im planning on getting my first phone.I want to go with tmoble since i like there plan the best.Out of all the phones iv seen, I like the red razor with the black in the inside.However only sprint carries this phone.So my question is could I just buy the phone at a sprint store and use it with me tmobile plan?WIll tmobile let me do this?

I know they have razors at tmobile but id really like the red one and i wouldnt want to go with sprint because there plans are not good for me.

No you can't. Sprint uses CDMA phones and T-Moile uses GSM. They are not compatible.

I used to answer phones for a cell phone company in the states, so I'm pretty confident I can give you a correct answer.

No, you cannot get the phone from one company and activate it on another. The reason for this is that the manufacturer of the phone makes a certain amount of phones for specific companies and places a chip in the phone that keys it to that company. If you try to activate a sprint phone on tmobile, it will be locked (basically the sprint phone will not be able to understand what tmobile is trying to say) Unfortunately you cannot unlock the phone to work.


P.S. This was assuming that both companies even use the same type of technology. (cdma & gsm)

nope...you have to go with your service provider
