Why do some of my eyelashes fall out after every application of mascara?

I use waterproof mascara, is this why? Or am I allergic in some way? What is going on?

Don't use waterproof mascara. It dries the lashes out making them brittle...they will break and fall out and plus waterproof mascara is almost impossible to remove. Just use a regular mascara. I like Maybelline LashStylist or CoverGirl LashExact.

Your loosing eyelashes probably because of the waterproof mascara. Waterproof mascara is made so it can stay on longer and if you wipe your eye or anything it cannot come off easily, so that's probably why. It makes your eyelashes all weak. I lost a ton of eyelashes whenever I'd wear waterproof. I just stick with eyeliner now, though. [:

Do you pull on your lashes when removing the mascara? Also if you don"t take it off every night, it will harm them. I use the waterproof. It doesn't bother me but everyone is different.

Omg stop using it! Waterproof mascara will always do that. Yuck i hate it. That is definitely why your losing your lashes.

yeah, waterproof mascara is VERY drying it makes your lashes really brittle so they break off easily. i think it's not meant to be used everyday. try using a gentler formula or buy mascara with conditioners to fortify your lashes.

Make sure your eyelashes are completely clean of past mascarra before you apply a new coat. It's bad for your eyelashes to apply a new coat of mascarra over a dried coat. Also, make sure not to use your mascarra beyond about three months, or it will not be effective anymore. If this continues, change brands or mascarras!!!!!!!

your eyelashes seem to be very sensitive and breakable , i advise you to start applying a brush of Vaseline on them before coating your lashes with a good brand mascara :> it worked for me
