Depends on your computer's performance. What problem are you trying to solve, or are you just looking for something?

That is going to depend on what you are running and if you are looking to run more applications. Also, can your system handle more memory. If you have less than 1GB and your system can handle more memory then, yes, I would say to upgrade.
