Whenever you use a search engine to find information, type the owrd "site" a colon and the letters "EDU" after it. For example, if you wanted to raed abour roses in Maine, you'd type "roses maine site:edu" without the quotes. This will give you true research sites, not plant stores that will lie to you or Joe Schmoe who may give bad advice.

Find plants that grow well in your area, then go online, and find out the best way to care for, those species, then plan the outline of your garden, in proportion to any architecture in the area, make sure you have all the proper tools, and that they are well taken care of, make sure to protect yourself from the bad UV rays, and wear a nice set of gloves, and waterproof boots, if possible. gardening can be very balancing exercise, if done properly ,and with care, so stretch out beforehand, and after, and be mindful of your hands, arms, legs, and feet, while engaging in any gardening activity, drink plenty of water, relax, and enjoy the outdoors, make the tools work for you, and stay at peace.
Blessings
