i have really strong contrations that are painful but are not regular yet and when i get a contraction i can feel the baby's shoulder push on my hip bone and it is very painful that i cant stand or walk..does that also mean i am in the first stages of labor?

sounds like your in labour i haave a 5month old daughter when i went into labour and my contraction started my husband and some cabby i didnt know had to carry me to his car then into the hospital it hurt so bad have you called the hospital yet to let them know? if not just call let them know and they will giove you more info

well you didn't say how far along you were, but it is normal to feel different parts of the baby during contraction and even when you're not having contractions. It doesn't hurt the baby at all. You will know when you're in labor, cause the contractions will be constant every so many minutes and they won't stop.

its just down to the way the baby is lying why not try a warm bath to help you through your early stages of labour just remember this your body is designed to have babies so relax and enjoy this special time and congratulations.....
