I want to have forms in the web site that will automatically send me emails and store info. in data base's. First, what type of database software can I incorporate into a website to do such a thing. Is access a database software that can do such a task.

Basically, if I have a form in my site for a persons name and email address and I once the submit button is hit, I want the info. to be automatically inserted into a database and/or emailed to me.

Can anyone tell me what is needed for that to be done? Please be as detailed as possible.

Thanks

You're right Microsoft access can do that (.asp), however, I'd recommend .php because most websites use it - bascially you need to use a server and build a website which is compatible with server side coding (e.g. ASP and PHP).

If you need a web host I can help you out - http://ilobby.co.uk

So, for your form, if you are creating it "flat", you'd create your form in HTML coding within a filename extension (.html or .php/.asp doesn't matter). then create your serverside coding - i specialise in mysql database and php - so if you are to use mysql and php, create a php file with the code to process the form and submit to mysql - etc etc.
