If you want to truly know when you ovulate, the best way is a full "sympto-thermal" version of NFP. With it, you can monitor your body's *current* state, rather than past data only. Because of this, modern NFP still works if you have an irregular cycle (nobody's body is perfectly regular).

First how long is your cycle, that is needed to predict your ovulation and what your calender will look like.
Okay that helps greately.
Your cycle will look like this.
Day 1-5 your period
day 6-8 infertile
day 9- 15 fertile
Day 14 is your most likely ovulation day
Day 16-28 infertile

As a rule of thumb I always suggest the three days before, the day of ovulation given and the three days after make sure you are having sex on those days, your ovulation can slightly vary a couple of days.

Okay if you are the avg woman with a 28 cycle you start the first day of your cycle the first day of your period. So if you have a 7 day time of the month the day after you stop your period is day 8 so typically you are most likly to conceive on the 13-15 day and have a 24 hrs window. Basial body temps are not alway right on. Every ones body is diffrent. But you should typically concieve on 13-15 but unprotective sex can get you pregnant regaurdless. so hope this helps if you have more questions toni_vierus@yahoo.com also look up www.babyzone.com or www.pregnancyweekly.com they have calutaions to help you. :)

Okay I don't know anything about the ovulation calendar but, I can tell you what worked for me. I went to the calendar. I counted two weeks from the last day of my period. For instance if my period ended on the 7th, I would go to the 21st, that is my most fertile day. So, I had sex the 20th,21st,22nd, and 23rd. And sure enough, I got pregnant. My son will be two in August. And using this method I have managed to miss any unwanted pregnancies. It worked for me. Just thought I'd share.

you need to figure out how long your cycle is and then cut that in half. Like if your cycle is ever y 28 days then usually around day 14 is when you start to ovulate. If you do it that way than that's usually how it's done
