Sounds like you may be pregnant, but the test could have been faulty or expired or something.
I think your best bet is to take another test to confirm.
You can get these fairly inexpensive at Dollar stores or a Dollar General, just make sure you buy one that is not going to expire soon and use your first morning urine for the most accurate results.
Also check out peeonastick.com they might have some answers there.

The lighter line doesn't have to be dark in order to be positive. It's only if it shows up at all. Mine was only light pink next to a dark pink or red line, and it was positive. I'm 22 weeks pregnant now. But take another test of a different brand to make sure.

You could have made a mistake in taking the test. Make sure you follow all directions carefully. It is best to take a test first thing in the morning when your hormone levels are peaked. I would retake the test. I have only seen test fail when taken improperly or when it is too early to detect the pregnancy hormone.

Use a different test just to make sure. That maybe a positive result or a water line. Then call your doctor. Good Luck

Buy another test and see. It might have been faulty or
you might not have enough of the hormone to show
up as a dark line but still be pregnant.

You're probably pregnant. The real life test results don't look as neat and clean as the pictures on the box. That being said, you should go get a test at your doctor's office or clinic to be sure.

take another test tommorow morning. the first urine of the day is the best because it's been in you so long that it can gather more hormones or such like that....
I always take 2 tests just to be sure!

Call the 1-800 number on the package insert that came with the test. They will be able to answer your question better than anyone here.
