The toughest questions I ever had to ask were the ones I asked my aging parents about their financial status, their health and well being, their final wishes, etc. They were just as uncomfortable answering as my sister and I were asking. We're not entirely certain we got all the information we need. We keep after it, though.

Religion and race are the most controversial because people get really offended and pissed off if you're talking about them.
