Ok, I hate surprise parties! So I am mostly doing all the planning and ordering the food and all that good stuff for my shower! It's this Saturday! I am going nuts I get nervous and then again I just want the date to come and go! I feel like I have a million things to do and then I go thru everything and I don't have much to do at all! I know I will be beyond tired even though I will have lots of help! Any Advice???

My hubby is doing the running around with me and my mom and aunt are helping, my best friend is even coming from outta town and helping out. I don't feel like I'm doing it all myself, just feel nervous I guess.

It sounds like you're a control freak to me. I wouldn't begin to say that to a stranger if I weren't one myself. However, I think there are times when you might let others do the work, and simply enjoy yourself. My bridal shower was a nightmare, and I wasn't very convinced to have a baby shower, but I did. All I did was do my registry, and show up. I had such a good time, and it really was nice not to have to do the work. As you have already done a lot, I recommend getting help now. If you have friends and family who will pick up on a few of the tasks, please let them. If you don't, you'll be too tired to enjoy any of it, and you might even be grumpy to your guests. Trust me, you're going to enjoy this a lot more if you share the responsibilities. Good luck, and have fun!

I think you just stressed me out! LOL! You're nervous, so it's normal. The baby shower is a reminder that you are going to have a baby soon. You've probably been "nesting" too. Cleaning, getting the nursery ready. Believe me, it's normal. I couldn't sit still the closer my due date came. I was even fidgety all the way to the hospital. Good Luck, after the baby is here you'll feel a whole lot better!!

that's why baby showers should be thrown for you, in my opinion. you are pregnant, and shouldn't have to be putting yourself through the stress of planning a party. let a few friends/family members/hubby help a little. you don't have to be in control all the time. i'm sure it will all turn out fine. enjoy it, and stop stressing!

Is there anyone you can ask to help? It sounds like you're planning it all by yourself! (I actually feel like I have to do that too...) I suggest you enlist a few close friends or family members to help you so you're not overwhelmed. This is your day to shine and relax! Good luck!

You really need to just relax. Even though you have help delegate more tasks out. You should be enjoying your baby shower not hosting it.

Perfectly Normal.
Try to relax and enjoy your day!
This is ONE day that is all about you and your baby. Enjoy it! Once your baby arrives, it will be all about the baby! Enjoy and be pampered!!!
